It is super annoying and has taking my quite time to fix. One was a driver update. I was not able to get into safe mode. I fixed it by replacing the graphic card with one for AMD and then download tool to clean all Nvidia settings and download the new Nvidia driver.
Then I disconnected from internet, switched back to Nvidia card and installed the driver. The second issue was a new Windows image, this was solved by reinstalling windows on another brand GPU and then disconnecting from internet and switch back to Nvidia GPU and install driver.
If you are able to get into safe mode, maybe you can just run the tool to clean all Nvidia settings and reinstall driver? I hope Nvidia acknowledge this problem and fix their SW so their customers don't experience this black screen issue.
Hello , I'm having the same issue. It started appearing after I updated to the last december driver build. The last one from I had issues booting into windows, having many blackscreens during the loading of windows and after. Basically I was unable to do anything. The problem was usually fixed by booting 3 times in a row. But I don't think that is normal under any circumstances. I tried to revert back to I'm yet to shut down my computer.
The issue annoyed me for 3 days straight. I must mention that I haven't had these issues before that update. I was rather pleased about the performance of my system. Despite having some issues with the Motherboard. Having checked some other threads on the forum I think that my problem might be related to the last Windows 10 build update.
It might also have something to do with the drivers. Did anyone solve the black screen issues after the last version of the geforce driver? I do have an error message when the black screen does occur.

Benman you seem educated in this and quite frankly I am taking shots in the dark at this point.. I Problem is that my display quality is completely poor.. I can even start up Hulu Live TV on my computer and the videos only renders in low quality.. I remember months ago watching the same thing and it would start off in bad quality but render quickly into x I do not know what has happened..
