Worked like a charm! No need to update the driver, just reinstall it via uninstalling the current driver. Uninstall the driver from device manager. Under Device Manager, under 'Biometric Devices'. Restarted the laptop and it prompted for sign-in using fingerprint Went to Device Manager again to check. Right clicked on it and selected 'Properties'. Says 'This device is working properly'..!!
